# Supported Languages

> Commure Scribe transcribes conversations in 70+ languages and can generate notes in your preferred language.

Commure Scribe automatically detects and transcribes conversations in a wide range of languages — including conversations where the provider and patient are speaking different languages from each other.

## Generating Notes in a Different Language

Generated notes default to English. To get the note in a different language, add a custom formatting rule, for example:

> Write the note in Spanish.

See [How to Set Up Custom Formatting](/customizing-notes/custom-formatting) for more on adding formatting rules.
