# Downloading the Android App

> Get the power of Commure Scribe on the go by downloading the Android app.

Get the power of Commure Scribe on the go by downloading the Android app. Here's how:

## 1. Search and Download

* Open the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for **"Commure Scribe"**.
* Tap **Install** to download the app.

## 2. Log In to Your Account

* Open the app and log in using the credentials you created during sign-up.

  You can't create a new account from the Android app. Sign up first at [scribe.commure.com](https://scribe.commure.com), then log in on the app with the same credentials.

## 3. Enable Permissions

* Grant microphone access so the app can record audio during patient encounters.

## Recording Tips for Android

<Warning>
  Unlike iOS, Android does not support backgrounding the app or turning off the screen during a recording. Keep the app open and the screen on for the entire session, or the recording may be interrupted.
