# Smart Edit My Notes

> Make quick AI-powered changes to your note without starting from scratch.

Smart Edit lets you make quick changes to your note without starting from scratch. Here's how to use it:

## 1. Click AI Actions

* Open a note and select the **AI Actions** tab at the bottom.
* Select **Smart Edit**.

## 2. Add Instructions

* Add additional custom formatting rules for your Scribe to follow.
* Adjust any note preferences such as note length, pronouns, and form of address.
* Click **Regenerate** to re-process your Scribe with the updated instructions.
