# How to Set Up Custom Formatting

> Standardize your notes' appearance with custom formatting rules.

Custom Formatting lets you standardize your notes' appearance. Follow these steps:

## 1. Access Formatting Settings

* Go to **AI Studio** > **Custom Formatting**.

## 2. Create Rules

* Select a template to add rules for.
* Add custom rules to personalize your note.
* Custom rules can include text formatting (e.g. bullet points), dot phrases (e.g. replace "A" with "B"), and any other preference you prefer.
