# How to Build a Template

> Create custom note templates to fit your specific workflow.

Custom templates let you structure notes to fit your specific workflow. Here's how to build one:

## 1. Open the Template Builder

* Navigate to **AI Studio** > **Template Builder**.

## 2. Create a New Template

* Select **Add Template** and name it (e.g. "SOAP Note for Pediatrics").

## 3. Add Sections

* Define the structure of your note by adding headers like "Chief Complaint" or "Plan".
* Add instructions that each section in the note must follow.
* Use the *Move Up* and *Move Down* options to reorder sections as needed.

## 4. Save and Apply

* Click **Save** to finalize.
