# Adjusting My Note Preferences

> Control note length, pronouns, and other preferences.

Adjust your note preferences to control length, pronouns, and more. Here's how:

## Side Panel

* Open a note.
* On the right hand side, adjust note length, pronouns, and form of address.

  You can also change these same preferences from **AI Actions > Smart Edit** while regenerating a note — see [Smart Edit My Notes](/customizing-notes/smart-edit-notes) for that workflow.
